​The Rockheights Cairn Project

Welcome to the Rockheights Middle School Cairn Project. In collaboration with the Creatively United for the Planet organization, we are working to develop an educational understanding of High Rock Park and cultivate an ecological perspective of nature.

Students visited Hartland Road Landfill to learn about how the region's waste is handled. They learned about the practice of reduce, recycle and reuse, and what happens when we bury waste. The future plans for the site were also shared with them.
